“DreamScapes” are created by experimenting with colors and techniques. Many of my paintings have the quality of watercolors, but are produced with oils and turpenoid. In each piece, I try to capture movement, transition and feelings. A three dimensional sense is achieved by “sculpturing” the oils with a palette knife and/or brush. I briefly studied at the Los Angeles Women’s Building in the late seventies and with Lynn Ruth Miller in Pacifica from 2000 to 2003.

All paintings in my gallery, unless noted as with Windswept, were done on stretched canvas or a sheet of canvas from a pad. Drawings were done on a tablet.

Creating both functional ceramics and sculptures, I strive to reflect the grace, beauty, and patterns of nature through my leaf glaze designs. My sculptures reflect the spunk and individuality of girls and women.

My exploration into ceramics was spurred on by the onset of lupus. In my spare “well” time, I can be found immersed in a clay project. Since 1999, I has been learning my craft part-time with the mentorship of Dorothy Turner.
